Services: Kailash Gompa
When Ruedi Husler set out to build the Kailash Gompa – a gift to humanity – he spared no expense. The solid concrete walls are built to last centuries if not longer and the interior is furnished with only the finest Tibetan thangkas (silk painting with embroidery)and artifacts.
Upon entering the temple one is greeted by a sizable reception area where guests can enjoy tea before or after using the meditation chamber. It is a cool and bright space with a very neutral and inviting energy.
The main meditation room is large, hexagonal in shape and pays homage to Tibetan Buddhists. The Southwest corner pays respect to Native Americans. Ruedi used great care in selecting and placing each item in the room. From Tibetan trumpets and beautiful altars with statues of Buddha and other powerful deities the room emits a feeling of harmony with both space and time.
The Gompa is available to all and can serve a variety of purposes including individual and group meditation, education, consultations and Pujas or blessing ceremonies. From time to time there will be visiting Lamas who will bring their special blessings to the gompa.
If you would like to visit the Kailash Gompa Ruedi asks that you drop him an email @ firstname.lastname@example.org so he can permit entry.
